How a house takes shape

Most people only see the finished house. We post every stage, because the parts you never see again are the parts that matter most.

  1. Ground

    Site work, forms and footings. If the foundation isn't square and level, nothing above it will be, so this is where we take our time.

  2. Frame

    Walls go up plumb, trusses get set and the house finally has a shape. The best day on any job.

  3. Roof

    Underlayment, flashing at every pipe and valley, then shingles or metal. A roof is only as good as its flashing.

  4. Siding & paint

    Wrap, siding and trim, caulked and painted. This is where the house starts to look like the one you pictured.

When you call, you talk to the people who'll be on your site. Our van's out every morning with the lumber on the rack, and the shop dog keeps an eye on the place while we're gone.
